We precision Drill & Slot our Extreme Performance Brake Rotors on CNC machines using the latest CAD-CAM design for perfect balance and alignment.
Our Extreme Performance Rotors provide you with maximum Stopping Power, the primary reason for Cross Drilling and Slotting is that the rotors will run 100-200 degrees cooler. This reduces warping which allows for greater braking power and in many cases longer Rotor and Pad life. The combination of Cross Drilled holes and Slots are constantly enabling the Braking surface to be cleaner thus providing improved friction bite and cleaner wheels.
The Drilled chamfered holes provide an exit route for Gas and Dust, resulting in better Heat Dissipation. The holes are also commonly called “cooling holes” .With COOLER Running Rotors there is less Brake Fade. The holes also dissipate water away from the friction surface when driving in poor weather.
The Slotting evacuates Gases produced from the pads under extreme conditions. The Gas creates a cushion between the pads and the Brake Rotor. The Slots and the Holes Clear away the gas restoring full contact which equals better stopping power. The Slots also Shave and Clean the brake pad creating a smooth contact surface on the Brake Rotor. The slots also act as a Wear indicator, the slots allow the measurements of minimum thickness that’s recommended.
It all totals a win, win combination of maximum stopping power with great looks particularly with today’s open patterned alloy wheels. |
